Our forest is your forest

We are HaliPuu

If you love forests as much as we do, you have come to the right place. We are HaliPuu -family, from the little town of Levi in Finnish Lapland. We wanted to save our family forest from felling, and decided to turn it into a safe place for people from around the planet.

You can adopt a tree from our forest, visit us in real life or live on the Internet, or you can download our phone application and immerse yourself in the life in the Arctic.

Welcome, our forest is your forest!

  • In the light of the current, horrendous, insane attack on Ukraine, we thought we would share the story of how Pappa HaliPuu fled the war as a child, and ended up in this village where we now have our dear forest. Hug trees, don’t kill people 💙💛

  • Happy Valentine’s everybody! In Finland this day is dedicated to friendships rather than romantic love, so sending you big hugs from the forest 🌲🤗 The other week we foraged some ingredients for forest flavoured marshmallows, you can join us here:

  • Whaa, we made such incredibly delicious “reindeer in a blanket” (named so by our viewer John 😄) during our broadcast by the campfire yesterday! A reindeer-porcini sausage, cooked on the campfire, then wrapped in a bread dough and cooked some more. The first example was not exactly pretty but it was SUPER yummy. Check out the process in the video…[Read more]

  • Yesterday on our Sunday-broadcast we went to see the sun on top of Levi-fell. Look how funny the trees are up there (and what an incredibly beautiful sight the first rays of sun are after a long polar night)
