A couple of days ago, on a beautiful spring winter day, me and Pappa went on a hunt for Chaga mushroom. And we found some!
Chaga (or pakuri in Finnish) is a sort of a mushroom that can be found on trees that have already been somewhat damaged. It is an extremely potent antioxidant, and has been used for instance as a cancer medicine for centuries.
The best Chaga grows in areas with very clean air – such as our HaliPuu forest. After collecting it is dried and can then be used in several ways. We usually boil it or make a tincture out of it.
Below you can see a video of our trip (it is taken from our weekly Periscope broadcast).
