Whaa, we made such incredibly delicious “reindeer in a blanket” (named so by our viewer John 😄) during our broadcast by the campfire yesterday! A reindeer-porcini sausage, cooked on the campfire, then wrapped in a bread dough and cooked some more. The first example was not exactly pretty but it was SUPER yummy. Check out the process in the video below.
Recipe for the dough:
3 dl flour
1 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
0,5 tsp salt
1 tsp dried thyme (or any herb)
0,5 dl grated parmesan
1,5 dl warm water (a bit warmer than lukewarm, approx 42°C)
Mix all the dry ingredients, then stir in the water and mix well (no need to knead). Sprinkle some extra flower on top and let the dough rise for a moment. Cook on open fire like we do in the video:
